Heat Pump Maintenance Can Be Performed Anytime

Hiring a professional who understands the ins and outs of how heat pumps work allows you to identify minor problems, keep the system clean and prevent long-term damage. Use the following checklist as a guideline for your contractor:
- Check ducts, filters, blowers and coils for signs of dirt buildup or obstruction
- Check ducts for leaks and seal as necessary
- Measure airflow output for accuracy
- Measure refrigerant levels for accuracy
- Check for refrigerant leaks
- Clean, lubricate and tighten all electrical connections
