A New Round Of Lennox Rebates Means There’s No Better Time Than Now To Upgrade
Everyone is looking for a good deal these days, and trying to save money sometimes means waiting until the absolute best time to buy. But if you’ve been considering replacing your old HVAC equipment, we have some important news for you: the best time to buy is right now.
More specifically, the time to upgrade is between now and August 26, 2011. That’s because, until August 26, Lennox is offering rebates that can add up to some significant savings: When you upgrade your entire home comfort system, including your air conditioner (or heat pump), furnace, thermostat, and air cleaner (or indoor air-quality system), you can earn rebates of up to $1,100.
And that’s only the start of the savings, as the new, high-efficiency equipment available today can save you a chunk on your electricity and gas bills every month, for years and years to come. If your current HVAC equipment is old, or simply inefficient, these savings can add up to even more than the rebates.
On top of the rebates and energy savings, buying high-efficiency equipment can save you on your federal tax bill. For 2011, you can earn tax credits on many upgrades that meet certain energy-efficiency requirements. For example, you can get a tax credit of $300 for a new high-efficiency air conditioner, and $150 for a new furnace or boiler. Other tax credits for this year include:
- $300 for water heaters or biomass stoves
- Up to $500 for roofing, insulation, skylights, or doors
- Up to $200 for windows
Even larger tax credits are available for geothermal heat pumps or renewable energy sources, such as wind turbines or solar panels. Tax credits for such “green” technologies cover 30 percent of the total cost, including installation. And, for solar panels, there is also an additional rebate of $300 available from Lennox.
Upgrading to high-efficiency equipment is a good idea for saving money at any time, but the available tax credits and rebates make this month the ideal time to upgrade. For all the details, contact us at Sobieski Services. We are happy to assist homeowners in Delaware or the surrounding areas.
