Working with our team for your new custom home’s plumbing and mechanical needs will ensure a smooth process from start to finish.
Receiving a Plumbing & Mechanical Bid
If you would like to receive a proposal for your custom home’s plumbing and mechanical contracting needs, we can help. The process is straightforward and will provide you with the information you need.
We start by receiving the drawings and scope of your custom home and review them while developing a preliminary plan for your home’s heating and cooling systems, as well as the domestic water pipes, drains, and vents.
We’ll then get in touch directly with you, your architect, and your builder to gather further information and set a date for when the final bid will be completed.
Internally, we then transfer all the information from the project manager to our estimating team who begin to write the proposal. They include a scope of work for the HVAC and plumbing systems, including estimated costs since a rough budget is now built out and the equipment types and brands are selected.
Prior to delivering the proposal to you, we’ll review everything in-house to ensure all parties involved are aligned and that all required provisions are included. Finally, our project manager will provide you, your architect, and your builder with the proposal.
HVAC & Plumbing Installation for Your Custom Home
When you choose the Sobieski team as the plumbing and mechanical contractor for your custom home build in the greater Wilmington area, on the beach in Delaware, or on the Main Line in Pennsylvania, the process of building your home’s efficient and durable systems begins.
When we receive your signed proposal, we will finalize the timeline and schedule based on what your builder has estimated for their progress.
Our team will then start pulling permits, while designing the ductwork and the Uponor domestic water manifold, among other necessary items. We will also complete all orders of materials and begin to prefabricate piping and assemblies in advance.
As soon as all framing in your home is complete, the rough plumbing can begin. Then when the structure is watertight, rough HVAC installation can start. Upon completion of the rough installations, a preliminary inspection can be done.
When your home is nearly completed with all flooring, paint, cabinets, and vanities in, our team will install the plumbing fixtures and grills, registers, and diffusers for the HVAC equipment.
Upon finalizing all installations, we will start up the HVAC equipment and complete warranty documentation. We will also then receive a final inspection of your new custom home’s plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Once all installations are complete, we’ll provide you with customized training on your new systems, as well as all corresponding manuals. Our experts will show you how everything works. But don’t worry, you don’t have to deal with anything if you don’t want to — the specialists at Sobieski are on call 24/7 to answer any questions!
