Addition to Dupont Hall
 The 60,000 square foot addition to Dupont Hall will house administrative offices, classrooms and scientific research facilities. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc., was engaged to provide all certified laboratory piping and exhaust air systems as well as mechanical heating, cooling and air distribution and plumbing systems.
Sobieski completed the project on time and within the $3.8 million budget.
PROJECT SUMMARY:
- Install all steam, heating, hot water and chilled water piping
- Install all heating and cooling equipment and air distribution systems
- Install laboratory special gas systems including liquid and dry nitrogen,
compressed air, natural gas
- Install vacuum, pure water and process chilled water piping including stainless steel,
electric fusion, certified brazing and specialty welded piping
- Install laboratory mechanical and air distribution systems
- Install mechanical systems for clean steam generation and piping systems
- Install mechanical and piping systems for de-ionized water
- Install all clean room piping, air distribution and mechanical systems to fume hoods and laboratory processsing equipment
- Install domestic water and sanitary waste systems
- All installations included services to fume hoods and laboratory processsing equipment

Due to the limited working space available, Sobieski's ability to coordinate efforts with other trades was a key factor in achieving success. |

Approximately 20,000 linear feet of various types of piping were installed. |
