Full-Time In-House Safety Manager
J. F. Sobieski, Inc. has a full time in-house Safety Manager that is responsible for:
  • Conducting regular safety audits on all job sites and periodic vehicle safety inspections
  • Developing and maintain safety plans and procedures
  • Reinforcing awareness of safety, health and environmental policies
  • Development of safety training schedules and workshops and tracks all  employee safety training
  • Provides special safety training for the employees on special hazards
  • Conducts safety orientation training programs for new employees.
  • Assists Project Managers in resolving safety issues on the jobs
  • Investigation of safety incidents
  • Risk management of injuries
  • Working with the workmen compensation broad on injuries.
  • Manages the weekly Safety Tool Box Topic
  • Ensures that our company remains in strict compliance with applicable safety and environmental laws and documentation requirements
  • And most importantly, has full authority to implement any appropriate corrective actions as required.
 
Regularly Scheduled Safety Audits: Safety Inspections of Our Shop, Job Sites & Company Trucks
The Safety Manager regularly performs safety inspections of each job site at least once a week to control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and contacting supervisory personnel. Below is an example of weekly safety audit:
