Plumbing Checklist
Our Plumbing Preventative Maintenance Agreement covers over one hundred separate items that we check and verify before providing you with a written report of our analysis (Click Here! for details). If service work is necessary, all charges are stated up-front before any work is performed. Each inspection includes:

    Basement
  • Check water meter
  • Check emergency water shut-offs
  • Show customer where valves are
  • Check operation of sewage ejector pump
  • Check sewage ejector valve
  • Check operation of sump pump
  • Check sump pump valve
  • Examine exposed lines for leaks/corrosion
  • Examine exposed sewer lines for leaks/corrosion

    Water Heater
  • Check relief valve
  • Check for safety
  • Check exhaust pipe condition
  • Inform customer about water heater cleaning
  • Emergency water shut-off valves
  • Place sticker on water heater

    Laundry Area
  • Check emergency shut-offs
  • Watts valve operation explained
  • Check laundry drain
  • Laundry tub checked
  • Laundry tub drain checked
  • Laundry tub pump checked
  • Laundry tub check valve

    Kitchen
  • Check under sink drain piping
  • Check emergency water shut-off valves
  • Valve tags on all valves
  • Check drains for proper function
  • Check faucets for general appearance
  • Check garbage disposal
  • Place sticker on garbage disposal
    Bathrooms
  • Check shower head for proper operation
  • Check bathtub drain
  • Check trip lever
  • Check for dripping faucets
  • Check general appearance of faucets
  • Check internal parts of toilet tank
  • Tighten toilet seat
  • Check toilet grout/caulking
  • Check lavatory p-trap
  • Check aerator on lavatory
  • Check function of pop-up drain
  • Check emergency water shut-off valves

    Outside
  • Check hose bibs
  • Check vacuum breakers for dripping
  • Tag water softener
  • Explain how to put water softener on bypass
  • Show curb stop location to customer

    Drain Cleaner
  • Make customer aware of Bio-Clean/Root-X.
  • Make customer aware of Annual Maintenance

    Safety/Energy Saving Devices
  • Set back thermostat, programmed incl., correct time
  • Safety pressure balanced fixtures
  • Damage control devices: stainless steel braid washing machine hoses, high water alarms
  • Safety devices: carbon dioxide detectors, smoke detector
